For an institution to perform effectively and with confidence, its strategy must align with its stakeholders’ perceptions, market context, and mandate. To ensure it remains relevant, the Inter-Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation, called Dhaman, engaged Momentus (formerly IFCL) to redefine its identity as a development agency.
Momentous created Dhaman’s 2022-2026 Strategic Plan to better align the multinational organization’s identity, products, and standards with its mandate.
We conducted a comprehensive diagnostic review to assess the institution’s current state and help envision its future state. We performed a deep dive into its policies, systems, and processes and facilitated a strategy planning session with senior executives to better define the level of ambition, challenges, and key strategic opportunities. In addition to a SWOT and PESTLE analysis, we conducted in-depth stakeholder consultations with both internal and external stakeholders to gather and analyze different perspectives on the organization’s performance. We also provided a benchmarking analysis and presented recommendations of good practices from peer institutions.
This work led us to refining Dhaman’s vision, mission, and convention together with the senior executive management team. We developed strategic objectives and initiatives aligned with the institution’s development mandate. We also contributed to the development of a medium-term implementation plan that would support the organization in rolling out its strategy by prioritizing actions and clearly assigning roles and responsibilities to different functions and staff.
The development of a Corporate Strategy equips Dhaman with a clear strategic direction on priority areas to grow the business and seize opportunities in the market.
